Statutory Formalities Notice (Wills Act 1837 § 9 & § 15): In England and Wales, a Last Will and Testament cannot be legally executed using an electronic signature. To make this will legally valid, you must download or print the document on paper and sign it (or acknowledge your signature) in wet ink in the simultaneous physical presence of two adult witnesses who both see you sign. Each witness must then attest and sign (or acknowledge their signature) in your presence (witnesses are not legally required to sign in each other's presence). While witness independence is not a statutory validity condition under Section 9, under Section 15 any gift to a witness or their spouse/civil partner is void; choosing witnesses who do not inherit under the will is essential to prevent losing gifts. Any digital signature applied in this tool is for visual preview only.
